Formula E returns to Berlin for a third time on June 10 and 11, as the all-electric racing cars go back to the historic Tempelhof Airport track, on a revised version of the circuit that hosted the race in Season 1.

The double-header event will see a fusion of exciting wheel-to-wheel electric racing and fun entertainment for the whole family.

In addition to all the drama on-track, fans are encouraged to experience everything the eVillage fan zone has to offer, including - live music, food and drink, interactive displays and official Formula E merchandise.
What’s more, as Formula E offers fans the opportunity to get even closer to the action than ever before - there will be some special appearances from the drivers throughout the day including an autograph session, virtual eRace and podium ceremony.
Racing reinvented - it’s electric

The land upon which Tempelhof Airport was built in 1927 once belonged to the Knights Templar, which is how it got its name.

It remained one of Europe’s largest airports until it was closed in 2008 and is probably most famous for the daring Berlin Airlift operation of 1948, during which over an 11-month period the Allied air force kept the 2.5 million residents of West Berlin in supplies after the Soviet forces closed down all other transportation links.

Since it became inactive it has been used for a number of recreational activities, which in 2015 included the inaugural Berlin ePrix. Formula E returns to Tempelhof in 2017, but the track has been significantly altered, although the dramatic terminal buildings still create an impressive backdrop.

Allianz eVillage

Formula E doesn’t stop when the cars aren’t on track, there’s always something for you to see and do. Away from the track, you can entertain yourself at the Allianz eVillage fan zone. This is an entertainment area aimed at the whole family.

Inside the eVillage, you will have the opportunity to get up close with a variety of fantastic displays and activities, ranging from the latest electric vehicles and hybrid cars and racing simulators. In addition to the latest and greatest in technology products there will be a wide choice of food and drink stands as well as fun Kid activities for children of all ages.

Meet the drivers

In the eVillage, you will have the chance to meet the drivers at the autograph session and witness the raw emotion of the podium ceremony. If you rate your driving skills, you can get behind the wheel of a racing simulator to win the chance to go wheel-to-wheel against the actual Formula E drivers during the eRace, which takes place in the build-up to the main event.
